Short Biography
Aleksey Andreev received the MSc degree in solid state physics from St.-Petersburg Technical University (formerly Leningrad Polytechnical Institute) in 1994 and PhD degree (candidate of physical and mathematical sciences) from A.F. Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, St.-Petersburg, Russia. He is now a Senior Research Scientists at Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory and his research interests cover a broad range of projects in the area of theoretical and semiconductor physics and modelling of advanced devices. Dr Andreev is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at Advanced Technology Institute of University of Surrey, where previously he was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics.
