Research Interests
- Spintronics
I have recently joined the Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory as a Research Scientist after my PhD at the Spintec laboratory. During my PhD I was working on static and dynamics transport measurements on spin electronic nano-devices. In particular, I am using a microwave to study the magnetic properties of a vortex oscillators based on ultra-low resistance magnetic tunnel junctions. By using synchronization and modulation phenomena, I was able to extract intrinsic such as the parametric behavior of the system, the tunability or the deviation sensitivity.
Recent Research projects
At present, I am working on anisotropic magneto-Seebeck effect in antiferromagnetic iridium manganese tunnel junctions. We think that changes in the density of states as a function of magnetisation direction - that give rise to a large tunnelling anisotropic magneto-resistance (TAMR) in these devices - might also have effects on the Seebeck coefficient. We followed the work of Walter et al. who have been working on a related effect in tunnelling magneto-resistance (TMR) devices - where the Seebeck coefficient depends on the relative orientation of two ferromagnetic leads - by laser heating of the top contact of a pillar structured device. This work is funded by the SpinIcur European project.
