From the view point of a design engineer, I am interested in how to optimize the electron-optics system reducing the influence of the electrical noise.
Recent Research projects
I am researching the electron-optics technology using non-Gaussian shaped beams by micro/nano-scale magnetic fields, for improving the spatial resolution of Scanning Electron Microscopes(SEMs). At the same time, I am investigating theoretically the simulation/evaluation methods of the spatial resolution and image quality of SEM images when using non-Gaussian electron beams. This investigation should be necessary in order to develop new technologies using any shaped beams for SEMs.
