Current vacancies and expression of interest

The Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory always welcomes expression of interest on the projects currently being studied in our laboratory. Prospective students are invited to contact the relevant person in charge of the project. More specifically :

Quantum optics and Biophysics

The following projects are available :

  • EPSRC DTP CASE PhD project (2019-2022) with title: Inkjet printing on photonic crystals for biostructuring and whole-cell sensing. Please contact Please contact Dr F. Brossard for details. The student will work in collaboration with Dr Ljiljana Fruk of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Cambridge.

  • Hitachi/Sensor CDT PhD project proposal (2019-2023) with title: Novel radiolabeled nanoparticles for tracking targeted delivery of drugs and therapeutic radionuclides to hard-to-treat cancers. Please contact Dr Ljiljana Fruk

Silicon-based quantum computing

Applications are welcome to work on silicon-based quantum computing. Please contact Dr F. Gonzalez-Zalba for details. For student applicants please check the Microelectronics group's website
